Beetlejuice (1988)

Thanks to an untimely demise via drowning, a young couple end up as poltergeists in their New England farmhouse, where they fail to meet the challenge of scaring away the insufferable new owners, who want to make drastic changes. In desperation, the undead newlyweds turn to an expert frightmeister, but he's got a diabolical agenda of his own.

Rudo y Cursi (2008) Spanish (English Subtitle)

Two brothers living a hard life of manual labor in rural Mexico have a simple dream: saving enough money to build their mother her dream house. But fate has other plans. A friendly game of soccer leads to first Rudo, then to Cursi being taken on by the nation’s top talent scout. Suddenly, they find themselves living the high life of star athletes: fame, fortune, fast cars and beautiful women.

Alice (1988) Czech (English Subtitle)

A memorably bizarre screen version of Lewis Carroll's novel 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland', mixing one live actor (Alice) with a large variety of stop-motion animated creatures, ranging from the complex (the White Rabbit) to the incredibly simple (the Caterpillar, consisting of a sock, a couple of glass eyes and a pair of false teeth). The original story is followed reasonably faithfully, though those familiar with this director's other films won't be the least bit surprised by the numerous digressions into Svankmajer territory, living slabs of meat and all. As the opening narration says, it's a film made for children... perhaps?

Mansome (2012) (Documentary)

In the age of manscaping, metrosexuals, and grooming products galore - what does it mean to be a man? Oscar nominee Morgan Spurlock and executive producers Ben Silverman, Will Arnett, and Jason Bateman present a delightfully entertaining doc featuring candid interviews from Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Paul Rudd, Zach Galifianakis, and everyday people weighing in on everything from the obsession with facial hair to body dysmorphic disorder.

Gothic (1986)

The story of the night Mary Shelley gave birth to the horror classic FRANKENSTEIN: Disturbed, drug-induced games are played and ghost stories are told one rainy night at the mad Lord Byron's country estate. Personal horrors are revealed, and the madness of the evening runs from sexual fantasy to the fiercest nightmare. Mary finds herself drawn into the sick world of her lover Shelley and stepsister Claire as Byron leads them all down the dark paths of their souls.

The Draughtsman’s Contract (1982)

Mr. Neville, a cocksure young artist, is contracted by Mrs. Herbert, the wife of a wealthy landowner, to produce a set of twelve drawings of her husband's estate, a contract which extends much further than either the purse or the sketchpad. The sketches themselves prove of an even greater significance than supposed upon the discovery of the body of Mr. Herbert.

Indiscretion (2013)

This taught and stylish thriller explores the troubled relationship between a young couple and their mysterious, charming yet unknown Italian visitor. Set in an isolated New England country home, this story takes us through the intense dynamics of a couple with long simmering issues of mistrust which are slowly exposed once their guest arrives. His seemingly innocent nature and curious questions slowly stokes a burning fire of deception, accusations and sexuality which explodes in violence and brutality.
